Last week, I completed recording 12 new songs for my next album (still working on the title), slated for release later this year. It was a labor of love, and I was supported by some phenomenal musicians. Thanks especially to Stewart Myers, my producer and an incredible bassist; to Regan Sprenkle, for joining me on vocals for five of the songs; and to Charles Arthur, for his support in finalizing the arrangements. There’s a lot of variety in the styles of music in this project – from blues to bluegrass. Throw in some Latin (singing one song in Spanish) and soft rock sounds, and you get the idea! Every song has its own vibe, which made this project so interesting.
There’s still a lot to do, but I plan to finalize the album in time for delivery before the Christmas holidays, which is actually closer than you think!
Once the album is finalized and released, there will be a grand total of 32 songs in the Steve Harris Music library, including two full albums, an extended play album and 2 single releases. Here’s what we’ve got so far:
