Canada-based Bridgefest announced on December 26 that Steve Harris’s original composition, Green Tea Blues, has been selected as winner in the organization’s annual music competition. The song was selected to compete for the annual prize by winning the organization’s monthly competition in August 2021. Green Tea Blues also won Honorable Mention in the Music Contest Audience Award, which is awarded based on listener feedback.
Green Tea Blues is the title song from Harris’ extended play album of original jazz compositions. This marks an amazing seventh award in 2021 for the rocking jazz number. “It’s great to end 2021 on such a high note,” Harris said. “I’m looking forward to competing this year with original compositions from my new gospel album, Angel Band.”
Bridgefest, which began operations in 2006, is a competition for filmmakers and musical composers from around the world. During 2021, the group received over 1,800 film and music projects from artists in 90 countries. Submissions were judged by a stellar multinational panel from twelve countries.
Green Tea Blues and all Steve Harris music is available for download or streaming on all digital music platforms. Digital albums and compact discs can be purchased directly from Harris’ website: https://steveharrismusic.com/.
